What inspired your story? What inspired you to start your business?
I started Evolving Beauty from a void I saw in my own life. Not unlike many women, I didn't grow up with a trust fund, a wealthy father or a roadmap to navigate business or life - despite having a loving family. Evolving Beauty was conceived from a business book I wrote in 2016, Evolving Beauty, the Business of Beauty in a New Age. The foreword was written by Lisa Price, creator of Carol's Daughter and my former employer. The book details my experiences in business and the beauty industry. The book overscores marketing 1.0 x digital 2.0. Core classic marketing principles, with evolving digital age tactics. (I've been thinking of publishing an updated version.)
While promoting the book I talked to women across the U.S. I found out maintaining mind, body, and spirit per se, with work/life balance was a real challenge for women in their success pursuit. I discovered that many women just aren't happy. We know women want to be successful, but at what cost? Happiness shouldn't be a compromise or a part of the negotiation. This is how Evolving Beauty was conceived, as a community for women.
What does your company do? What makes your service or product special?
We help women evolve. A modern resource for women that fuses a collaborative community (Women in Motion), contemporary goal coaching (e-courses and workshops) and curated tips and tools (books and planners).
What makes Evolving Beauty Special? We are uniquely anchored in business, life, and mindfulness to help women evolve. The triad that is most needed for women today. Evolving Beauty is a community to support women who want to change to create the life they want. There's always room to learn, change, grow, and be better than you were yesterday. #neverstopevolving.
What advice do you have for other Female Entrepreneurs?
I want female entrepreneurs and professionals, in general, to find the balance of taking care of the inside, their personal life and professional life as well. On the professional journey up, make sure you are making decisions, concessions and compromises that matter in your personal lives too. And that you're able to sleep at night based on your decisions to progress. Again, I think women should be successful and happy!
How was your experience working with Dual Xposure Photography?
Working with Dual Xposure Photography was a magical experience. They listened to my goals, understood my vision and thought through the shots with laser attention to detail. Looking forward to developing new content for new projects.
